The Deffeyes mountain hut lies at the end of a large valley that separated it from the lower part of the Rutor glacier. Realised in 1953, it belongs to the CAI section of Aosta and it is a privileged panoramic point over the Rutor glacier. It can be reached in about 3 hours of walking from the hamlet of La Joux.
