Cortese Distillery

Wine  -  Saint-Vincent

Generation after generation, the family, who have owned the distillery since the early 1900s, have safeguarded the quality of their limited production, refusing to distribute it outside the borders of the Aosta Valley.
For over 100 years, Distilleria Cortese’s delicate grappas and fruity-flavoured liqueurs have been produced according to ancient recipes that continue to convey a unique flavour.
The flagship of the company is the production of different qualities of génépy, in particular the Artemisia génépy, obtained by infusing in alcohol only the flowers of the little génépy plant, which has marvellous properties and grows wild on the moraines of the glaciers in Valle d’Aosta at an altitude of over 2000 metres.

The visit
Free guided tours round the distillery can be arranged for groups upon phone reservation, during which you can observe the various production phases up to the bottling process, with a final tasting session.
