VEGETATION
Thriving, mature woodland with Red Spruce and sporadic Larch and Scotch Pine trees. Undergrowth composed of Juniper, Dog Rose, Berberis, Bearberry and Blueberry.

HOW TO GET THERE

It can be reached in 25 minutes’ driving from Antey-Saint-André or in 15 minutes from the centre of Verrayes.

AREA PANORAMA
Looking North of the equipped area you can see Longhède Summit and Becca d’Aver, towards the East Mount Zerbion and to the South East Mount Nery; while to the South, located on the slope of the Dora Baltea opposite the area, you can see Mount Barbeston and Mount Avic.

EXCURSIONS

  • Taking the path near the area going to Becca d’Aver you can continue onwards to the Longhède Summit.
  • Taking the winter, cross-country skiing piste you arrive to the picnic area in the Chantorné di Torgnon district.
  • A path for disabled people winds for about 1 km both inside the wooded area and around the recently redeveloped small lake: it is accessible from the parkings of the area and it is specifically designed to be accessible to disabled people with wheelchairs. Near the bar / restaurant there is a playground specifically equipped with a swing and a walker for wheelchairs.

Open every day in July and August
