HOW TO GET THERE
You can arrive by taking the Lys Valley regional road and passing Gressoney-la-Trinité town.

AREA PANORAMA
Towards the North-West you can admire the Mount Rosa Massif, particularly, in this position you can see the Naso del Lyskamm; to the West you can see Mount Testa Grigia.

EXCURSIONS
• The area is close to paths that depart for Colli Bettaforca and Bettolina or Col d’Olen.
• You can reach the Gastaldi bivouac and Gabiet Lake, departing from Gressoney-la-Trinité.
• The Staffal district is instead the departure point for all excursions to the Mount Rosa Massif and the relative refuges.

The Gabiet refuge welcomes its guests in a simple and comfortable environment, with typical Walser furniture. In a typically alpine atmosphere you can enjoy the best dishes of Aosta-Valley’s tradition, surrounded by the ski slopes of the Monterosa Ski area in winter and you will have the possibility to walk along numerous trails in summer.
You can reach the refuge only by foot or with the cable car.

Mountain hut located at 2600 metres reachable by ski or snowshoes in winter and with a one-hour walk from Gabiet in summer. The ambience is cosy and familiar and the restaurant offers vegan cuisine. Dishes are prepared from quality raw materials (preferably local and organic), using wholemeal flours and cereals and abolishing animal fats.
The refuge, surrounded by unspoilt nature, can therefore be the ideal place to try out a ‘new’ cuisine.

Rustic furniture and very cosy atmosphere, where you can savour local and international specialities. Big sun terrace where to have lunch in the sunny days.
The bar-restaurant is located in the beautiful Gabiet basin (2300 m) near the top of the gondola “Stafal-Gabiet”. Therefore it is can be reached only by cable car, on foot, by mountain bike or on skis.

The Anderbätt restaurant is located about 600 metres from the ski lifts of the Monterosa Ski area. In a cosy dining room, the owners offer a homemade and simple cuisine, with dishes prepared with care and with a particular attention to the territory. The wine cellar has an excellent selection of fine regional labels and Piedmontese wines.

The restaurant Capanna Carla at the Hotel Lysjoch has kept its original atmosphere and it is divided into different small dining rooms. The menu consists of traditional regional dishes, which are still prepared on the wood stove because mountain love is always reflected in food.

Located at the heart of Gressoney, Castore&Polluce offers good music, excellent dishes and drinks as well as a well-stocked wine cellar. In Tache square in Gressoney-La-Trinité, you can choose among three different environments: the terrace set in the beautiful square, the Castor Room, a typical alpine and young lounge where the bar is located, and the Polluce Room, a cozy and private dining room where the wines are set. A young and refined setting, open from 8.00am until late in the night, where you can enjoy a good espresso with homemade cakes, enjoy modern dishes, prepared with local products, or drink a tailor-made cocktail or a wine selected by a sommelier AIS among 250 labels.

Events organised for the 2023/2024 winter season:

• Tuesday from 10.30 p.m. to 2 a.m.: "Ormone libero" - Tuesday Dance Party. Free admission.
• Wednesday at 5 p.m.: Wine tasting - Tasting of Aosta Valley and Italian wines guided by the AIS sommelier in English. 30 € per person, reservation required.
• Thursday from 4.30 p.m. to 8 p.m.: Après-ski party - Dance. Drink. Have Fun. Repeat! Free admission.
• Sunday from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.: Italian Sundays - Only Italian music to sing and dance to from aperitif to dinner. Free admission.

All events are suspended during the period 26th December - 7th January.

The restaurant of the Hotel Del Ponte welcomes its guests in a cosy atmosphere, which reminds of a typical pasture hut, where people can enjoy lots of specialities of Aosta-Valley’s and italian cuisine and try the best local wines.
It is located at an altitude of 2300 metres on the ski slopes and it is reachable by the cable car Stafal-Gabiet or, in summer, on foot (2h walk).

The restaurant of the Hotel Dufour serves typical traditional dishes from Aosta-Valley’s and italian cuisine, simple recipes re-interpreted to constantly offer new flavours while respecting the genuineness of its best cuisine.

The Fitzroy restaurant, run by a young and dynamic staff, welcomes its guests with a beautiful fireplace, two dining rooms, typical and modern at the same time, in which to relax after a ski day or a long summer walk. People can enjoy the specialities of the chef’s creative and innovative cuisine, prepared with good local products.

The Café Restaurant Hirsch Stube welcomes its guests to a magical, enchanted place in typical alpine style, where wood is the dominant feature. The young staff is attentive to the quality, craftsmanship and seasonality of the products, with zero-km dishes, Fontina AOC, local wines, delicious desserts and various types of beer.

The restaurant is located in the Romantic Hotel Jolanda Sport and its rustic but refined furniture is the result of a long choice and of the great care for details. The use of wood for the floors and for the decoration invests the dining room with a warm and cosy atmosphere.
The choice to make everything at home mirrors the will to offer its guests tasty and genuine food, according to the alpine tradition.
The cellar is full of Italy’s and France’s best wines, which certainly satisfy even the most expert oenologists.

The bar-restaurant Jutz is located at an altitude of 2182 metres at the arrival point of the Staffal-Sant’Anna cable car, near a small white church after which the resort is named, therefore it is reachable only by cable car, on foot, by mountain bike or on skis. The bar has a big terrace and sunbathing area, looking out directly onto the ski slopes. There is also a magic carpet for ski beginners and games for children. Ski mountaineering and snowshoeing enthusiasts can enjoy a specially created slope.
When the sun goes down, the Jutz won’t stop singing! Every evening, dinner at high altitude can be booked. The snowcat will take guests up to the heights, where the magical atmosphere of the moonlight will embrace you and give you unforgettable emotions.

At the La Grange restaurant of the Hotel Chalet du Lys, all lovers of fine cuisine can sample traditional Italian dishes and enjoy that extra pinch of salt and pepper that will make your stay unforgettable.
Every evening, the restaurant’s chef will amaze its guests with his imagination and will assemble the best local products, Mediterranean aromas and all accompanied by a refined and diversified choice of excellent wines.

In a completely refurbished dining room, the Thedy family welcomes its guests in the restaurant of the hotel Lo Scoiattolo, with typical local dishes and with numerous specialities from the national and international cuisine. Everything is prepared with fresh, healthy and tasty ingredients and accompanied by wines from our rich wine card.

Morgenrot, which is located on the ski slopes in winter and in green meadows in summer, is the ideal place for all those who want to savour the typical dishes of Aosta-Valley’s cuisine and national ones, always with a touch of creativity.
The restaurant also offers a big terrace and, for winter dinners, the transport by snowcat.
It is easily accessible in winter on skis or snowshoes and in summer on foot, in about 15 minutes from the hamlet of Orsia (Gressoney-La-Trinité).

The Osteria Ejelbode is located near the centre of Gressoney-La-Trinité, along the regional road. Here you can enjoy a simple cuisine, with specialities of the Aosta Valley tradition.

The refuge (restaurant and bar) is located at the arrival of Punta Jolanda charlift at an altitude of 2200 metres, reachable even from people who don’t ski and who want to take the most of the sunny days, since the restaurant is set in a very sunny area.
Thanks to a transport service by snowcat, it can also be reached in the evening when the ski lifts are closed. Before entering the restaurant the guests can savour an aperitif in the moonlight and enjoy a superb view of the valley and the surrounding mountains. The restaurant, whose interior is furnished in a typical alpine style, offers local specialities and a wide choice of wines.

The restaurant, which offers a superb view of Monte Rosa, is reachable only on foot, by mountain bike or on skis. In winter it is set in the middle of the Monterosa Ski area, while in summer it lies on the Tour du Mont Rose route, a 20-minute walk from the arrival of the Staffal - Sant’Anna cable car.

The cuisine offers typical local dishes and products of the region. During the winter and summer season, you can spend a different kind of evening enjoying a truly incomparable landscape with the high altitude dinners.

The restaurant belongs to a small hotel with 7 rooms, for those who want to stay in a hotel surrounded by nature and total tranquillity. The rooms are approximately 14 m² in size and are equipped with Smart TV, free Wi-Fi and a private bathroom.

The bar-restaurant Schéne Biel is situated at an altitude of 2300 metres, in the heart of the Monte Rosa, and it can be reached by lift from Gressoney-La-Trinité with the Stafal-Gabiet cable car. It cans also be *reached by foot, by mountainbike or, in winter, on skis.
For lunch, the kitchen offers typical local dishes as well as specialities from the traditional Italian cuisine. To complete the offer, for those who wish to have a quicker lunch, you can also enjoy burgers and fries, along with a large choice of sandwiches and stuffed focaccias, as well as home-made cakes and tarts.
The restaurant also has a large sun terrace with tables and deckchairs for customers.

The restaurant is located at an altitude of 3000 metres on the Passo dei Salati, near the ski lifts, and it offers a superb view of the Alps. Here you can savour specialities from the Aosta-Valley and traditional dishes of italian cuisine.
It can be reached only by cable car, on foot, by mountain bike or, in winter, on skis.

The Wongade restaurant is housed in a typical Walser dwelling dating from 1660, which has documentary value and is a charming building that also hosts a guesthouse.
The kitchen offers dishes prepared with ingredients that follow the season, highlighting local products and specialities of the Aosta Valley’s cuisine. Bread and pasta are homemade.

The café-restaurant Colle Betta is located in the heart of the local ski resort at an altitude of 2731 metres on the Colle Bettaforca, which relies the Gressoney and the Ayas valleys. It is therefore reachable only by cable car, on foot, by mountain bike, on skis or with snowshoes.
The cuisine offer specialities from the local tradition, which have been reinterpreted according to the modern techniques, as well as delicious long leavening pizzas.

The restaurant pizzeria Walserschild welcomes its guests in a simple and typically alpine atmosphere. Here you can taste dishes from Gressoney’s and Aosta-Valley’s cuisine, as well as Italian specialities and pizzas baked in a wood oven.

Small café-restaurant located at the arrival of the Moos slope in the Monterosa Ski area. It offers a fast, simple and genuine cuisine in a typical mountain setting and it is appreciated for the après-ski. The restaurant has an indoor dining room with about 30 seats, a déhors and offers local products, beer, wines and typical cheeses. The delicious sandwiches are excellent with a cold beer or a good glass of wine.
