Description of the route

This excursion starts from the Triatel hamlet, home to the Petit Monde Museum (open in summer season). The first part of the route follows the asphalted municipal road (it is possible to reach the hamlet of Étirol by car) and along which it is possible to see an old mill, functioning until a few years ago. Once you leave the road, continue on path no. 107, passing near Chanchevellaz (Tsantsevella) mountain pasture. From here you take a dirt road for about 500 m and then continue on the right of the same on path no. 107, which leads to Cré. Once you have passed this locality, you cross a dirt road again that you follow until you reach the houses of Tellinod and reach the locality of Gilliarey, or you can, just before Cré, take path no. 7 which climbs steeper, passing from the Comianaz mountain pasture. In Gilliarey there is the privately owned oratory built in 1866 and an exceptional viewpoint over the Valtournenche valley and the Matterhorn.
