Description of the route
The itinerary starts from the bridge Arberaz (regional road n. 11), near the restaurant La Crotta di Vegneron, at the entrance of Chambave centre, for those coming from Aosta, or at the end of the village, for those coming from Châtillon.
The signpost n. 4, clearly visible, indicates to walk up along the municipal road, up to the intersection with Rue du Barmet, where you turn left.
After crossing few houses, the path begins on the right. There is a first fork: turn left, and continue to go up.
After a while you cross the municipal road to Clapey and follow it for twenty metres, then turn left again and immediately after to the right, taking again the real path n. 4.
Continuing the walk up among the terraced vineyards you cross and follow the municipal road of St. Denis to the village of Cuignon and, after the last houses, leave the road and take the path again, which is on the right of the open space; from here follow the dirt road that, after about fifteen minutes, allows you to reach the ruins of Cly Castle.
