Baita Gran Sometta was born in Cervinia in the early eighties on the Ventina track, at 2830 meters. From the 2019-2020 season the Baita is managed by Massimiliano Musso of ICE Kart Cervinia.
Tradition with constant innovation are the strengths for an ever higher target.
Easily reachable, the Baita, has now become a historic place for aficionados of the locality, who return every year to savor the specialties offered, first of all the baked shank and eggs alla Gran Sometta, the Restaurant offers a menu with a wide choice of dishes offering guests a relaxing break before the afternoon descents.

Creativity and tradition, in a unique environment where it is not uncommon to across some animals, especially in the early hours of the morning.
Equipped with a large terrace, where you can breathe an air freshness, on sunny days, it allows an enchanting view of the entire area dominated by the Matterhorn. Guests are welcomed in a warm and familiar atmosphere and advised daily on the tastiest proposals. And if the time for the break is really limited, the restaurant offers one of its delicious sandwiches that will immediately give a pleasant effect to the eye but above all to the palate.
New 2023 : Ice Lodge
A small village that every year, in December, will breathe new life into a Nordic fairytale atmosphere on Pista Ventina: two Igloos built entirely of ice for evening dinner, and outside, Ice Bar with counters also in ice and seats with soft and enveloping furs, where you can relax in the sun enjoying aperitifs and other delicacies with the sound of relaxing music in the background
