A magical cable car ride to discover Mont Blanc
An experience from earth to heaven
Skyway Monte Bianco is a technological and engineering marvel, a feat of which Italy can be proud.
The construction of this cable car defies the laws of nature by bringing man closer to the mountain and the sky, in a journey that allows you to broaden horizons and overcome borders.
It came about from a unique and futuristic vision compared to the traditional conception of projects of this type. The goal is to create a comprehensive experience of vertical ascent.
Thanks to the cable car, the ascent from Courmayeur to Punta Helbronner (3,466 m) is an extraordinary experience for everyone, unless health problems make it inadvisable to stay at high altitudes.
The Skyway cable car ride
The system was inaugurated in 2015 and includes 3 stations built in glass and steel that harmonize with the surrounding environment: Courmayeur/The Valley (1,300 m), Pavillon/The Mountain (2,173 m) and Punta Helbronner/The Sky (3,466 m).
-
COURMAYEUR / The Valley (1,300 m)
The departure station is an imposing, aerodynamic-looking structure with a large outdoor or indoor parking area, various bus parking and a lockers. You can stop for breakfast or a quick lunch at the Café des Alpnistes or purchase your admission ticket at the ticket office. If you prefer you can also buy your ticket online.

Inside, you’ll find the Mountain Bar and the Alpine Restaurant, as well as spaces for private events such as the Alpine Cinema (which can host up to 148 people) or the La Vertical with 60-70 seats.
Not to be missed the Cave Mont Blanc's high-altitude experimental wine-making cellar, Hangar 2173, housed in the old station that brings prestige to the history of the cableway and the Skyway boutique.
During the summer you can visit the Botanical Garden with its 900 plant species from all over the world while kids have fun at the Playground Skyway for kids, and in winter experience the Snowshoe Camp for an unforgettable walk in the snow.
- PUNTA HELBRONNER / The Sky (3,466 m)
The third station is shaped like a crystal and soars upwards with cantilever terraces. Here, you can almost reach out and touch the mountains all around.
