Since 1966 the building has been the home of the Restaurant Tavern Lou Ressignon; in 2007 the Allera family, planning the renovation of the building, decided to create 5 comfortable double rooms on the first and second floor.
In the centre of the town of Cogne, just 200m from the Piazza and from the prairie of Saint Ours, the Chambres d’Hôtes Lou Ressignon is ideal for couples and families in search of a quality stay in a non-hotel location and a refined gastronomic experience. Quality food has always been an essential aspect at Lou Ressignon’s: indeed, as early as 1966 Arturo Allera, a restorer of typical Aosta Valley furnishings and a ski instructor, opened this restaurant-tavern choosing for it the name ‘Lou Ressignon’, which in patois, the French Provencal spoken in the area, means ‘the midnight snack’. The tradition began by the founder is now continued by his children, Elisabetta and Davide.
Lou Ressignon is open all year, allowing guests to discover and enjoy the natural beauty of the Cogne valley throughout all four seasons.
