The Guide Frachey refuge is in Resy, close to the foot of Palon di Resy, at the start of the Bettaforca valley.
It is in a picturesque location, which makes it possible to enjoy the breathtaking view of practically the entire Val d'Ayas.
Immersed in the greenery of the Forcaz alpine pastures, the refuge is an ideal location for those looking for a relaxing holiday in an extraordinarily beautiful, natural environment.
The Guide Frachey Refuge is open in the summer season with a jeep service.
The Refuge is an ideal starting point for trips around Monte Rosa, as well as being one of the stopping points on Alta Via n°1 and n°3 and the Grande Sentiero Walser.
It is also an ideal starting point for many itineraries on mountain bike.

How to get here
By car
Verrès motorway exit: at the roundabout carry on towards Valle d'Ayas and after about one hundred metres, turn left. Carry on through the valley and go past the towns of Challand-Saint-Victor, Challand-Saint-Anselme, and Brusson and carry on towards Champoluc. Having reached the roundabout of Champoluc carry straight on for several kilometres towards the hamlet of Saint-Jacques.
From here go through the built-up area and take the path which goes into the woods. After approximately 45 minutes you will reach the hamlet of Resy, where you will find the Guide Frachey refuge.
By public transport
The nearest train station is at Verrès.
Scheduled coach service as far as Ayas (approximately 9 trips a day) with connections to the local circle line which links the various hamlets.
