The Locanda Lac Place Moulin is located close to one of the largest artificial lakes in Europe.<br>In the surrounding area there are a number of routes for trekking: lakes, mountain refuges, summer pastures and picturesque landscapes providing total peace and quiet.<br>Lovers of flora and fauna are sure to see a wide variety of flowers and plants and various species of animals.

How to get here
By car
Come off the motorway at Aosta Est. Follow the directions for the Gran San Bernardo Tunnel (green signs) which soon lead you to the entrance of a tunnel where there is a junction with the SS 27. As soon as you come out of the tunnel take the road on the right with signs for Valpelline, Diga di Place Moulin. <br>Follow the regional main road for a few kilometres until you reach the town of Valpelline. <br>Go past the petrol station on your right (this is the last petrol station in the valley) and follow the road going uphill until you reach the junction for Bionaz on your right near a hairpin bend. After this junction, continue along the regional road no. 28 which leads you first to the town of Oyace and then after a last short climb, comes to the Lexert plateau and the lake with the same name. <br>Go straight on and just before you reach the main town you come to a junction on the left leading to Place Moulin and the reservoir with the same name. Follow this road which goes up almost as far as the reservoir and just before the barrier there is a road on the left leading to the inn.
By public transport
The nearest railway station is in Aosta. The bus station is right opposite the railway station.<br>There is a scheduled coach service to Bionaz (about 4 services a day except on Sundays).
