Urtier, a magic valley

The price includes: guided hike, insurance, snowshoes and snow poles. All participants will be equipped with ARVA kit: shovel and probe, after a practical demonstration of their use.

Description of the itinerary:
The itinerary starts from Lillaz to reach the small village of Les Goilles, on the orographic left of the Urtier valley. From there you cross an extensive forest of fir and larch trees that leads you to the pastures of Pianes, situated halfway the entire hike. The second part of the itinerary follows the orographic right side of the valley, leading you back to the starting point: the parking in Lillaz.

Entering the Urtier valley in winter, means opening the body, hearth and mind to wonderful white word, having a snowy soft cover.
It is quite difficult to describe the enchanting atmosphere while admiring the larch and spruce woods, but it’s much easier to experience it while snowshoeing in the same woods. A real paradise of wilderness in front of the Grivola peak.

*Clothing*necessary clothing: trekking boots, warm winter layered clothing, water-proof pants, rucksack, thermos with a hot drink, cap, sunglasses and sunscreen.

In case of bad weather in case of severe bad weather the snowshoe hike will be cancelled or postponed to another date
