HOW TO GET THERE
You can arrive by taking the Valsavarenche regional road, passing by Eaux Rousses village. This district is located inside the Gran Paradiso National Park.

You can admire the Gran Paradiso Massif and Dégioz town which enjoys an excellent view of Gran Nomenon and Mount Grivola.

EXCURSIONS
• You can reach the Vittorio Emanuele and Federico Chabod Refuges which are located at the foot of the Gran Paradiso, the Savoy Refuges and Chivasso town located on the Nivolet plane.
• A section of the Alta Via No.2 road passes through the area that takes in Col Lauzon, the peak of the Valdostane mountain roads at an altitude of 3,296 metres.

Located at the foot of the north-west face of the Gran Paradiso, in the heart of the National Park with the same name, the Federico Chabod mountain hut is open in spring for ski mountaineering (until mid-May) and from June until September for classic ascents and for hiking. It’s also the starting point for the normal route of the Gran Paradiso.
In spring it can only be reached on ski mountaineering and in summer only on foot.
Its restaurant, warm and friendly, proposes a typical cuisine and some revised dishes of the tradition.

The refuge is located in the Gran Paradiso National Park, at the head of the Alta Valsavarenche at 2534 m, in the splendid flat basin of Nivolet and on the shores of a lake. With its 13 rooms for 2/3/4 beds and a dining room with home cooking, the Savoia Refuge, reachable only on foot, is for mountain lovers a starting point for an infinite number of mountaineering itineraries at all levels.

The refuge (2000 meters) is a 15-minute walk from the parking of Pont Valsavarenche, along the path to the Vittorio Emanuele II refuge.
In a large green clearing, in the middle of a larch forest, there is a long stone hut, in the past used as a stable, now renovated and transformed into a welcoming alpine refuge organized to host mountaineers, hikers or just for a dinner or a friendly lunch. The kitchen offers typical Aosta Valley and international dishes.
Booking is always strongly recommended.

The refuge is located at 2735 m in the Gran Paradiso massif and Park and is about 2.30 hours’ walk from Pont di Valsavarenche (1960 m). The refuge is only be reached on foot on a well-marked path; the itinerary is simple and accessible to all, including children.
The restaurant is located in 2 rooms with more than 100 seats, one of which has been recently built entirely in wood and with large windows; for the beautiful days there is a very large terrace.

In the peace and quiet of Eaux Rousses, in Valsavarenche, at the heart of the Gran Paradiso National Park, dreams can come true. The hotel restaurant offers the best that a mountain hotel has to offer in elegant, surroundings of former times. The cuisine and the vast wine menu together with the owners’ politeness makes it the perfect destination for lovers of fine living.
