How to get here

By car

Châtillon-Saint-Vincent motorway exit. Having reached the stop sign straight after the exit, turn right and, after a few hundred metres, just before the centre of Saint-Vincent, take the turn off on the right (signs for Cervinia) which, via the underpass, takes you onto strada statale (main road) 26 so that you can head towards Châtillon again. Follow the strada statale (main road) for approximately one km until you reach the roundabout on the right of which you will find the regional road for Cervinia. Carry on along it for 28 km going past the town of Antey-Saint-André and you will reach Valtournenche. A little further ahead you will reach Perrères where you can leave your car then travel for 4 hrs on foot to reach the Finestra di Cignana.
Otherwise, having reached Valtournenche, just before the town centre and the church, take the road on the left which crosses the Marmore stream and leads to the hamlet of Valmartin where you can leave your car and then carry on on foot for 4hrs for the Barmasse Refuge.

By public transport

The nearest train station is in Châtillon.
Scheduled Coach service as far as Valtournenche (approximately 10 trips a day).
