The Cav l' hameau de jadis, in english the hamlet of yesteryear, is a corner of yesteryear, new but old, a traditional 18th century farmhouse that has been renovated and converted into stately flats managed on a family basis by the same owners who have lived in the house for five generations.
Le hameau de jadis is located in the historic part of the village of Palleusieux in a privileged position with a splendid view of the surrounding valley and an unparalleled panorama of Mont Blanc and the chain of the Alps.
Surrounded by ancient trees, fountains, forests, orchards and expanses of meadows, the hotel meets guests' needs for tranquillity and privacy, making it an ideal place to relax and get in touch with nature and local character.
Today, the flats are housed in the four adjoining houses that once housed the hayloft, the granary, the manor house, the wine cellar, the fountain store, the cow shed, the oil mill and the chalet still retain their former names and are fully furnished with antique and/or modern furniture and accessories.
There is also an old courtyard with a large garden where once there was a vegetable garden and today there is an open-air dehors with trees and fountains, but where the oil mill and a characteristic 400-year-old rescard belonging to the family still stand.
