The house was built by the great-grandparents in 1938, as reported by the master beam. Since then, Giacomo and Vittoria have always lived in that house with their four children. 
At that time, every family in La Thuile had a nickname that distinguished them, the one of Giacomo's family was in dialect 'La Réich' or 'The Root'. This nickname had been given to him because of the love and attachment that the family had, and still has today, for their native land.
Since part of the building had already been used as a guesthouse in the 1940s and 1950s, this activity has now been resumed in the memory of the great-grandparents.

How to get here

By car

Morgex motorway exit. At the traffic lights, turn left and continue along the main road in the direction of Courmayeur.
When you reach Pré-Saint-Didier, turn left and after 9 km you are in the centre of La Thuile, the resort is located in Localité Bathieu 50 m from the municipality.

By public transport

The nearest railway station is in Aosta.
Bus service to Pré-Saint-Didier (approx. 15 trips per day).
It is possible to reach La Thuile by regular bus service Pré-Saint-Didier- La Thuile (about 12 trips per day).

The bus stop is a 10-minute walk away.
