Built in 1994, it is a building in copper and stone made up of three floors,
It is situated at 2600 metres altitude, in the grassy basin of the upper Alpe di Tournalin.
The cosy rooms are furnished in wood
The large dining room can seat up to 80 people. The kitchen offers typical, traditional Valle d'Aosta dishes. It can be used as a stopping place for Alta Via (High route) n°1 in the Valle d'Aosta, for easy excursions, or as the destination point for a local lunch or an evening spent in the refuge with family or friends.
As it is easily accessible, it is particularly suitable for children and travelling by mountain bike.

How to get here

By car

Verrès motorway exit: at the roundabout carry on towards Valle d'Ayas and after about one hundred metres, turn left. Carry on through the valley and go past the towns of Challand-Saint-Victor, Challand-Saint-Anselme, and Brusson and carry on towards Champoluc.
Having reached the roundabout of Champoluc carry straight on for several kilometres towards the hamlet of Saint-Jacques. It is possible to reach the refuge from this hamlet in approximately two and a half hours.

By public transport

The nearest train station is at Verrès.
Scheduled coach service as far as Ayas (approximately 9 trips a day) with connections to the local circle line which links the various hamlets.
