Giro Next Gen 2024 - Giro d'Italia under 23
8 June - The formal presentation ceremony of the teams registered for the pink race will be held in Aosta
Stage 1 - 9 June: departure and arrival from the capital of the Region which hosts the Grande Partenza; 11 km circuit with small climb halfway (Saint-Christophe loc. Toules). Stage map
Stage 2 - 10 June: starting from Aymavilles at the entrance to the Val di Cogne heading towards Courmayeur; from there you return, face the climb to Les Combes, continue across the valley until you reach Saint-Vincent where you face a small circuit with a GPM 7 km from the finish. Stage map
Stage 3 - 11 June: departure from Verrès, the Giro leaves the Aosta Valley.

For a region with a strong sporting vocation such as Valle d'Aosta, the passage of an important cycling tour such as the Giro Next Gen, dedicated to cyclists under 23, can only represent a strong attraction.
We start from Aosta, a Roman city with a strong international appeal, with a thrilling time trial, scheduled for Sunday 9th,
The second stage will start from Aymavilles, famous for its vineyards and the magnificent castle that can be visited, at the entrance to the valley that leads to Cogne, pearl of the Alps, heading towards Courmayeur, a magnificent town at the foot of Mont Blanc. Return to face the climb to Les Combes, the place loved by Pope John Paul II, continue throughout the valley until
Saint-Vincent, for a small circuit with a GPM 7 km from the I arrive.
The following day the tour will depart from Verrès heading south to leave the Aosta Valley.
The Giro Next Gen, born in 1970 as the Giro d'Italia for the amateur category, is the most important world event for under-23 cyclists. Among the Italian champions who have established themselves we find Francesco Moser (1971), Giovanni Battaglin (1972), Marco Pantani (1992) and Gilberto Simoni (1993) while among the foreigners the names of Piotr Ugrumov (1984), Thomas Pidcock (2020) stand out ) and Juan Ayuso (2021).
There will be a temporary modulated suspension of traffic along the roads involved in the race in the 2 and a half hours before the race starts and until the "end of the race" car passes.
