The Aosta Valley ignites the Olympic spirit!

The charm of the Winter Olympic Games meets the vibrant energy of a land where sport is both tradition and future. After earning the title of European Region of Sport 2023, the Aosta Valley is preparing for a historic moment: on 12 January 2026, the Olympic Flame will pass through the region during its extraordinary journey that began in Olympia, Greece.

From Châtillon to Aosta, it will be a day of celebration, filled with community warmth and sporting enthusiasm.

The Aosta Valley is home to great stars of winter sports. Federico Pellegrino, an icon of Italian cross-country skiing, dreams of an epic career finale at Milano Cortina, after winning two Olympic silver medals at PyeongChang 2018 and Beijing 2022. Among the athletes who have shaped the history of alpine skiing, Federica Brignone stands out. Currently recovering from a serious injury, she continues to inspire with her remarkable record: a super-G bronze in PyeongChang and two medals at the following Games (giant slalom silver and combined bronze).
The two athletes from the Aosta Valley are among the four Italian flag bearers at the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games: Brignone parades in Cortina d'Ampezzo, Pellegrino in Milan.

The countdown has begun: experience the Olympic magic in the Aosta Valley!
