Saturday at the Alpe: nature, history and a lot of taste!

Excursion on the Ru Courtod with its fascinating landscape on Monte Rosa to reach the Alpe Metsan where the farm La Tchavana is located, with the cheese cellar, permanent all year round, highest in Europe (2012 m slm).

It starts from the large parking lot of Barmasc and follows the historic Ru Courtod through bucolic landscapes punctuated by several alpine pastures. The goal will be the ALpe Metsan where is located the farm Tchavana.

Recommended clothing, equipment and materials: mountain boots or boots, warm clothes in layers, wind jacket, backpack, thermos with hot drink or water bottle, cap, gloves, sunglasses. Camera recommended.
