Gran Paradiso National Park turns 100 years old!
A day dedicated to discovering the typical characteristics of the places and the life that gravitated around the castle of Aymavilles, reopened to the public after years of restoration.
There will be two thematic excursions with the Park Guides (one departing in the morning and one in the afternoon) to talk about history, passing from the Roman aqueduct of Pont d’Ael, but also about life linked to agriculture, walking amongst the characteristic vineyards and villages to finally reach the castle. Here, the final destination of both hikes, in the afternoon it will be possible to visit the castle itself and listen to an interesting talk by Michele Vacchiano, a scholar of Alpine culture.
At the end of the excursion, there will be a wine and local products tasting to savour and get to know the typical features of the area through taste.
