Paradise on snowshoes

Discover Chamois with snowshoes, a unique experience in the heart of the Aosta Valley that will take you to a small, snowy paradise! Accompanied by an environmental hiking guide, you’ll explore breathtaking, silent landscapes, where every step on the snow immerses you in the magic of hidden, wild nature.

During this snowshoe hike, you’ll venture through forests and valleys, discovering how the local wildlife adapts to winter without hibernating, facing the challenges of surviving the coldest season. You’ll listen to stories and curiosities about the animals that populate this valley and admire enchanting views that only winter can reveal.

All of our guides are registered with AIGAE, the Italian Association of Environmental Hiking Guides. They will lead you with expertise on this approximately 5-6 hour hike with an elevation gain of 600 meters.

Equipment and clothing tips

We recommend trekking boots, winter clothing, and a windproof and/or rainproof jacket. Don’t forget a thermos with a hot drink, sunscreen, and sunglasses. For those who wish, trekking poles, a camera, and binoculars will make the hike even more special!

Lunch and logistical details

We will have a packed lunch to fully enjoy the outdoor experience. Keep in mind that temperatures may vary, starting at a few degrees below zero and rising during the day.

In case of bad weather, the hike will be canceled.
