HOW TO GET THERE
You can arrive by travelling in the direction of Lillaz Valley, after Cogne town.

From the area you can see Val Valeille to the South, Mount Penne Blanche to the North and to the East Urtier Valley with the relative waterfalls in Lillaz.

EXCURSIONS
• From the Lillaz district, follow the path that rises to the left of the river in the Urtier Valley to reach the rocky drop, the origin of the Lillaz waterfalls; continuing onwards you arrive to the small village of Goille and from here climb along the valley to reach the Bardoney valley and mountain pasture.

The new refuge is located near Alpe Grauson Neuf at 2510 meters in a position easily reachable with a walk of about 2h30 from the hamlet of Gimillan and it is a good starting point for excursions in the area.

The refuge is located in the middle of the prestigious Gran Paradiso National Park, in the deep valley of Lauson at 2.588 meters, 2,30 hours on foot from Valnontey. Renovated hunting lodge that once belonged to King Vittorio Emanuele II. It’s an excellent starting point for hikes, mountaineering and ski-mountaineering tours.
In summer cccessible only on foot, in spring only with snowshoes or mountaineering skis.

In 1966 the ski instructor and restorer Arturo Allera opens the doors of the restaurant “Lou Ressignon” – the so called midnight snack in Cogne dialect – offering its customers the best traditional and local dishes in a warm and quaint ambience. Today his son Davide and his daughter Elisabetta proudly continue the family tradition evidencing their devotion to the culinary culture of the Aosta Valley, preserving local aromas and flavors. The refined and elegant atmosphere of the restaurant hotel, whose huge windows face the Sant’Orso meadow, is completed with a careful selection of Valdostan and Italian dishes.
The unique position also offers the possibility for having meals in the open air on the Terrace, located at the entrance of the Hotel Sant’Orso and close to the panoramic garden. Dogs, are admitted to the Terrace.

Al .. Tarabas is a pizzeria with wood oven where you can also enjoy some dishes as an alternative to pizza for both lunch and dinner. The rustic and familiar environment allow to spend pleasant moments. Reservation recommended. Sandwich until 02.00.

The bar pizzeria is located in the central square of the village. The welcoming dehors becomes the ideal place for enjoying the village’s landscape all year round, it is protected from the sun and decorated with beautiful seasonal plants. In winter days it’s equipped with external heating and fluffy blankets.

La Ferme du Grand Paradis holiday farm is located in Valnontey, inside the Gran Paradiso National Park, at the start of the main hikes in summer and directly on the cross-country trails in winter.
The facility has a dining room with the recovery of ancient wood and local stone. The tourism farm is run directly from the owners and it is located in the historical centre of Lillaz, a small village at 1617m in the Valley of Cogne.
This is a very old house dating back to 1600, nicely renovated in local style with wood and stones. From the site you can enjoy a nice view on the Gran Paradiso chain and further away of the Mont Blanc chain.

The Prasupiaz farmhouse, accessible with a easy 20-minute walk, welcomes its guests inside a small house in the woods in Valnontey mountain pasture in the heart of the Gran Paradiso National Park.
