The ways to do sports on and off the snow are increasingly numerous and exciting. The paragliding flight in the Matterhorn valley is unforgettable, to be tried in complete safety with expert instructors.
Classic flight, gliding flight, thermal flight, evening flight are just some of the proposals. Possibility of making flights even in summer, in various locations in the Matterhorn Valley and the Aosta Valley.
A tandem flight with a paraglider allows you to experience a unique emotion. Trust the experience of your instructor and abandon yourself to the feeling of absolute freedom.

In Breuil-Cervinia, during the winter season, flights are normally carried out from the arrival station of the Pancheron chairlift above Plan Maison.
Don't miss the fabulous flight that takes off from La Magdeleine and lands in Antey-Saint-André, where there is an equipped landing area.
Takeoffs are also possible from Châtillon from Nissod hamlet (1,350 metres above sea level) and from Saint-Vincent, from Salirod (1,000 metres).
The snow-covered route is groomed across the entire width of the farm road, therefore clearly visible, and can also be followed without snowshoes. In case of snowfall it is advisable to check whether the route has been groomed and whether it is possible to walk on it with après-ski footwear.
From the arrival of the Chamois cable car, continue on the small road that passes under the Town Hall, cross the entire village, cross the bridge and continue to the right, on the flat walk that leads to the municipality of La Magdeleine for about 1 and a half km; at this point you will find a crossroads that allows you to reach Col Pilaz, where it is possible to rest on the "Big Bench", a large red bench.
From Col Pilaz continue to the left climbing slowly into the woods.
From the pass continue on the beaten track: you will pass near the Charrey lake, which may not be visible as it is covered by snow, immediately afterwards on the left you will find a mountain pasture. From here we continue to the Champlong mountain pastures and its lakes. From here the view is spectacular, the Matterhorn is clearly visible. The walk continues in a spacious clearing and then reaches a stretch of dense forest up to the Les Foressus mountain pasture.
From here the descent begins to the town of Chamois passing through Le Moulin of Crépin with two return options:
The track is also suitable for those who want to do ski mountaineering.

At the first hairpin bend beyond the church of La Magdeleine, in the hamlet of Vieu, turn left, follow the signs for Chamois and continue until the road ends.
The car parks adjacent to the starting point of the path are subject to a fee: three blue columns are available for issuing tickets (coin or easypark app only): €6.00 from 8.00am to 5.30pm.
Here the route is on a snowy road for about 20/30 minutes of quiet walking. At a certain point, near a curve, you continue slightly uphill on path no. 1A for about 20 minutes (section not groomed). If you wish, you can still continue on the road until the crossroads that indicate the descent towards Col Pilaz.

In certain periods, with the rise in temperatures and the re-freezing at night, crampons can be useful.

You will pass near the Trinity chapel and admire the characteristic village of Suisse from above.
The path ends shortly after the mountain pasture.

In the sports center located in Clou, within the municipality of La Magdeleine, a small “Pearl of the Alps” in the Matterhorn Valley at 1600 meters above sea level, there’s an eight-a-side football field and a five-a-side football field made of synthetic grass.
The field can be used for free, and it is ideal for a game with friends or to organize small tournaments.
In the area there are also a tennis court in red clay, a multifunctional field for volleyball, five-a-side football, tennis and basketball; also, on reservation, it is possible to have nice barbacues, between one game and another, in the characteristic stone barbecue.
In the peaceful La Magdeleine, a town in the Matterhorn Valley at 1600 meters above sea level, sportsmen can organize numerous outdoor activities during the summer months. In the facility there are a tennis court in red clay for fantastic games, an 8-a-side football field where you can play around with a football or organize matches and friendly tournaments. Of course there is also a bocce court, a multipurpose field with synthetic grass to play five-a-side football, volleyball and basketball.
In addition to sports, in summer the children can have fun with a playground nearby.
Between one game and another there are places with a barbecue grill.
In winter the area undergoes a transformation; there are two treadmills, one used for those who want to learn to ski and the other for descents on snow tubes, snow bikes…
A completely renovated play area on the snow with new attractions (snowbike, snakegliss, sledges, snowtubing) available with an entry ticket.

The route, if possible, will be traced along the with of the summer farm road, and therefore easily recognizable, it is possible to walk the path even without snowshoes because it is always well prepared if the snow permits it, after a snowfall please check the preparation of the route and the possibility of walking in winter boots.
From the sport start this easy winter walk, suitable for everybody, leading to the pinewood after the cemetery of the village until the Parafromiat alp.

The route continues on a snowy road for about 20/30 minutes. Near a bend, walk uphill on path n ° 1A (not beaten by mechanical means) for about 20 minutes. However, it is possible to continue on the beaten track up to the crossroads that indicate the descent towards Col Pilaz.
The path climbs gently, borders the Valéry pasture and slowly arrives at Col Pilaz where a large red bench stands out. From here you have a great view on the Matterhorn. The return can always be done on the path or on the road for a circular route.
The walk is suitable for the whole family. For those who want to walk more, from Col Pilaz you can continue towards the Champlong lakes or go down to Chamois. Lovers of ski mountaineering can climb up to the hill following the road.

A delightfully peaceful, typical little village, lying on the orographical left of the Matterhorn Valley, surrounded by forests, La Magdeleine (1654 m) offers skiers 1 km of downhill run which has programmed snow cover, suitable for beginners and children, as well trails for hiking.
For children (and indeed adults) who just want to have some fun, there is also a fantastic snow park, with inflatable attractions and snow tubes. Also snow-shoe trails (along which nature guides can accompany you if you wish), which run along walking routes that are also very popular in the summer.
During the summer months it is possible to organize a nice game with friends on a red clay tennis court in La Magdeleine, a town in Valtournenche at 1600 meters above sea level, with breathtaking views.
The court is located at the sports center in Clou where, besides tennis, you can also play soccer, have a barbecue (by reservation) or children can have fun on the inflatable play area.
The court is equipped with lighting and is open during the summer; there is the
possibility of using showers and changing rooms. Reservation is recommended.
