An alpine botanical garden in the Gran Paradiso National Park

The alpine botanical garden Paradisia was established in 1955. It takes its name from the Paradise Lily (Paradisia liliastrum), with its delicate white flowers.

The garden reconstructs various local mountain environments with their flora, such as humid areas, moraines and limestone detritus.

This botanical garden is currently home to more than 1,000 species of diverse geographic origin, primarily from the Alps and Apennines as well as from European, Asian and American mountain chains.

Besides, a beautiful and rare collection of lichen grows spontaneously over ten boulders scattered in the garden
