Access: from the Baou mountain pasture parking, along the road to the Great Saint Bernard pass, follow the dirt road to the Baou mountain pasture. Take the path on the right towards the Tour des Fous (2576 m), turn right into a small valley and cross a little stream at an altitude of about 2400 m. Continue on the path until you reach a grassy basin next to Tête Fenêtre (2823 m), follow the trail on the left in front of the north face of Pain de Sucre (2899 m) and reach a plateau with a small lake. Follow the path and reach the large cirque that extends between the Pain de Sucre and Mont Fourchon. Turn left and follow the easy path to the plateau where the bivouac is located.
