The bivouac was built in 1952 to the memory of Nino Regondi, a young mountaineer died in a road accident. In 1995, the old bivouac was replaced by a more comfortable wooden structure and was dedicated to Nino Regondi and Pietro Gavazzi, president of the Italian Alpine Club of Desio.
Access:
From the square of Glassier take the unsurfaced road and then the path that climbs the steep canyon until it reaches the By basin, turn right and pass the Places mountain pastures. Walk along the side of the water until you come to the plain (Plan du Breuil); once past it, the path continues up steep ground, turn left and at the last crag you come to Lake Leitou and then the bivouac a little further on.
