The bivouac was built in 1935 to the memory of Guido Antoldi, a mountaineer from Turin, who died in 1932 in Rocca Castello. Destroyed by an avalanche in 1977, it is replaced in 1979 and dedicated to Laura Malvezzi.
Access:
From Lillaz take path n. 15 near the children playground and head up towards Valeille. Cross the bridge over the torrent close to a large rock.
Continue on the left bank of the valley and pass the bifurcation to Alpe Arolla and carry on until you reach the bottom of the moraine. After the bifurcation the path becomes steeper, poorly marked and with danger of falling rocks.
Follow the traces of the path that heads up the ridge of the moraine on the left side of the Valeille glacier and follow it to the top where the former bivouac once stood.
Carry on further passing one final ramp until you reach the bivouac on the right in a very panoramic position.
Equipment: blankets, mattresses.
