The bivouac, inaugurated in 1969, is dedicated to the mountaineer and engineer Oreste Bossi, who died in 1967 in Macugnaga. The structure was replaced in summer 2023 with the contribution of CAI Gallarate, the Bossi family and Andrea Filippi's daughter, Antonella. Andrea Filippi was a mountaineer who died on 29 March 1959. The name of the bivouac has therefore become Bossi - Filippi.

Notes: you can also leave from Plan Maison and go up with the ski facilities from Breuil-Cervinia.

Access:

The bivouac can be reached from Cervinia in 4 hours, initially following the ski slopes (or the trail for the Duca degli Abruzzi all'Oriondé refuge) and then crossing a long post-glacial environment of moraines, debris slopes and snowfields, on increasingly steeper ground until reaching the aerial rocky ridge where there are the highest mountaineering difficulties, mitigated by a section equipped with a fixed rope laid by the Matterhorn Alpine Guides in summer 2022.

Equipment: mattresses, pillows, quilts.
