The facilitie has historical value: built in the 1950s by the Associazione di Torino Giovane Montagna (Turin Young Mountain Association), it has hosted excursions and mountaineers for years. From 2025, a new chapter will begin as it becomes the Chapy refuge in Courmayeur, located at the entrance to Val Ferret at an altitude of 1,467 m.

Nestled in Val Ferret and surrounded by one of the most spectacular views of Mont Blanc, the refuge can accommodate 25 people in rooms for up to 4 people and is a strategic and convenient stop for those travelling the Tour du Mont Blanc.

Double or single rooms are available. The recently renovated toilets and showers are shared. Guests have access to a dining room, a large outdoor terrace and a living room.

Half-board service is provided and packed lunches (picnics) are available.

How to get here

By car

Courmayeur South motorway exit.
Continue on the state road towards Courmayeur and then head towards Val Ferret.
Continue until you reach the barriers, then turn left onto a dirt road and after about 200 m you will find the refuge car park.
Continue on foot for about 10 minutes.

By public transport

La gare la plus proche est celle d'Aoste.
Service régulier de bus Courmayeur - Val Ferret 
Descendre à l'arrêt Dente Del Gigante et suivre la route carrossable jusqu'aux barrières qui régulent l'accès aux voitures.
Prendre à gauche  le chemin rural, après quelques virages en épingle à cheveux, vous arriverez au refuge. Durée du trajet à pied : environ 15 minutes.
