The Maison Vieille is located on one of the most important paths that enabled travellers of the past to cross from France to Italy and vice versa. Along the way you have the chance to encounter marmots, falcons, and the lucky ones even deer, chamois and eagles, as well as having one of the most fascinating and spectacular views of the Mont Blanc massif.
Cosy dormitories and relaxing hot showers will give a sense of relief from tiredness. At lunchtime, in addition to formidable hors d'oeuvres and first courses, there is also cuisine on the losa.

How to get here
By car
Courmayeur motorway exit. After the motorway exit carry on up to the roundabout, where you will find the Courmayeur Cableway parking area.
The La Maison Vieille refuge can be reached by taking the Courmayeur cableway and the Maison Vieille chair lift, open during the winter season for skiing and during the months of July and August. Or on foot from Dolonne in approximately 2 hrs, from Pré de Pascal in Val Veny, in approximately 45 minutes and from Rifugio Monte Bianco also in Val Veny, in approximately 30 minutes.
By public transport
The nearest train station is in Aosta.
Scheduled Coach service as far as Courmayeur (approximately 15 trips a day).
