Located in the village of Dolonne, the old Glarey house stands at the foot of the Mont Blanc chain. Over the years, the structure has been transformed from a traditional house into a hospitable, family-run hotel: Hotel Des Glaciers. Started in 1985 by Alessio Pennard, a former mountain guide, the hotel is constantly being modernised and has numerous spaces in the Valdostan style.
Through the large windows, one can admire the entire Courmayeur basin, dominated by the impressive peaks that surround it, such as the Dente del Gigante and Grandes Jorasses.
The hotel has rooms with all comforts, a beautiful mountain-style tavern with a fireplace, a fenced-in playground equipped for children, and a well-stocked traditional museum that traces the chronology of time from 1800 to the present day.
