Embark on a stunning hike to discover the beautiful territory of Torgnon, its red pine forests, and the summer alpine pastures.
During the hike, in addition to getting to know the alpine environment and admiring the breathtaking landscapes of the Aosta Valley Alps, you’ll be introduced to the “magical world of snow”, with hands-on activities to observe the snowpack using lenses, boards, and thermometers, to learn about the “history” of the snow cover, its structural features, and stability.
Experience snowshoeing in a small group with a professionally trained guide recognized internationally in snow expertise.
Time of the snowshoe hike: 2h30 (one way)
Hight difference: 400 metres
Difficulty: WT1 snowshoes hike
Number of participants: minimum TBD, maximum 6 persons
Recommended equipment and clothing: warm, comfortable, layered clothing, gloves, hat, hiking boots, no moonboot because it is difficult to attach them to snowshoes. Snowshoes and sticks provided by the organiser. Packed lunch provided by participants.
In case of bad weather: the itinerary of the snowshoe hike could be changed, or the hike could be cancelled. The guide can decide, according to the weather conditions, to change the itinerary or to cancel the hike.
