Snowshoe hike to the Lavesé forest and the magical world of snow

An easy snowshoe hike in a magic forest of spruce and pine trees in the deep silence of nature…in one of the most beautiful places of our region.

This snowshoe hike will offer you the opportunity to know the mountain environment of the Alps, to admire the splendid landscapes of the Alps in this particular region and to get in touch with the magical world of snow, by means of practical activities as to measure the snowpack with special tools such as lenses and thermometers, to know its origin, to learn its structural and stability features.

 Always accompanied by an experienced hiking guide you will know the history of the snowflake and its further transformations into snowpack, you will observe the snowy environment from a different point of view.

Meeting place: starting of the hike from the parking in Semon, and arrival to the Lavesé Hostel

Time of the hike: (one way) 1h

Height difference: 250 metres

Difficulty: snowshoe hike

Number of participants: minimum 4 - maximum 10 persons

Recommended equipment, clothing and materials: warm, comfortable layered clothing, gloves and cap, hiking boots. Moon boots are not suitable.

In case of bad weather: in case of bad weather the itinerary may be changed, or the hike may be cancelled, according to the decision of the hiking guide
