An afternoon snowshoe hike for everyone... discovering the forest of Col Joux

An afternoon snowshoe hike along the historic Ru Courtaud at Col di Joux, to discover tracks, passages, and secrets of a dense forest.

We will depart from Col di Joux following the route of the historic Ru Courtaud.
We will venture into the forest to observe the winter attire of the trees, the tracks on the snow, and enjoy an exceptional view of the central valley all the way to Mont Blanc.
A tasty snack is included during the hike, and the return will take place under the first stars at the starting point.

• Departure: 2:00 PM from Col di Joux
• Estimated duration: Round trip 4 hours
• Elevation gain: 200 meters uphill
• Difficulty: E - hiking
• Snack opportunity: At a restaurant/refuge along the way

Recommended items:
• Boots suitable for snowshoeing (no Moon Boots)
• A large backpack for water/drinks, packed lunch, and unused clothing layers
• Poles recommended
• Snowshoes or crampons depending on snow conditions
• Headlamp
