Nativitas - Christmas Concert

Do you wish to spend a nice night while hearing some music and while admiring the beauty of Morgex parish church? Do not miss this event!
In the occasion of “Nativitas”, a festival of Christmas choral concerts organised by Associazione Regionale Cori Valle d’Aosta in various Valdôtain towns, Morgex hosts the closing concert Arcova Choir and Orchestra, director Nicola Forlin.

The proposed pieces will be:

• M. Lauridsen - O magnum mysterium
• O. Gjeilo - Sunrise mass
• P.A.Yon - Gesu Bambino

The Morgex parish church, dedicated to Our Lady of the Assumption, will host this event. The church is one of the oldest of the upper Aosta Valley, hypothesis confirmed by the archaeological digs which brought to light the remains of the ancient early-Christian baptismal church (5th-6th century), while the church of Morgex was mentioned for the first time in the papal bull of Alexander III in 1176.
