Studio Coronel - design stories
team@designweek-end.it

Conceived by the architect Paola Silva Coronel the event includes numerous installations that will be at the centre of a widespread exhibition, along the streets and in the exhibition halls of the town, in the ski area and at Skyway Monte Bianco.

There is no shortage of talks, exhibitions, appointments of a busy program that connects the world of design with iconic places and brands of Mont Blanc and Courmayeur.

The theme of this edition is “Unexpected directions” or the awareness, in an era in which everything is predictable, that sometimes something escapes: it takes courage to throw yourself into life like on a slope on a sled, knowing that even losing control could turn out to be unexpectedly positive.

The theme will be explored through installations that combine snow, ice and creativity, as in the case of the sleds that will be decorated by a small select group of archistars and then sold at a charity auction during the Charity Dinner Party at the Sports Hall of Courmayeur.

Many prestigious guests are expected. The main keynote speaker 2025 is Alberto Meda: engineer, industrial designer, winner of awards including 6 Compasso d’Oro, 6 Red Dot and Designer of the Year 1999, as well as curator and protagonist of several exhibitions, from Tokyo to the MoMA in New York to the Triennale in Milan.
