A balloon flight is a unique experience.
These few words summarize everything that can be experienced by climbing slowly with the strength of a huge balloon filled exclusively with hot air. In fact, it is only the hot air that allows the passengers of the balloon to climb up to over 3000 metres and enjoy a view without borders.
Starting from Aosta and slowly rising between the roofs leaves you speechless, seeing everything from a completely different perspective, unknown corners, roofs and chimneys. Traffic becomes a silent swarm as the horizon opens, a horizon made by the highest mountains in the Alps. The Monte Rosa group that continues with the splendid and unmistakable Matterhorn pyramid, to then arrive at the Grand Combin and finally the Mont Blanc chain. But the gaze can continue to sweep up to the Gran Paradiso: all 4000 meters in a single glance.
On the balloon there are no engines, silence reigns. The experience of the pilots, all with specific qualifications, guarantees safe flights. In a hot air balloon, in fact, you know where you start from, but not where you land: it depends on the whims of the wind.
You can fly to Aosta all year round, for spectacular flights over the Alps the recommended period is from November to February. The clothing is winter, comfortable boots, hat, gloves, windbreaker, padded trousers.
