Description of the route

Bourg St. Pierre is the most important town crossed by the TDC. Its Saint-Charles bridge (Charlemagne), antique bell, milestone (Roman epoch) and ancient well-preserved houses deserve a visit before heading for the mountains.
Passing by Chapelle de Lorette, Creux du Mâ, Boveire d’en bas, le Coeur, Erra, the trail crosses pastures and offers hardly any difficulties, letting hikers observe the entire length of Vallée d’Entremont.
At Col de Mille, end of this first leg, there is a refuge with attendant with room for 40 inaugurated in 1996. The view is incomparable and you will definitely be charmed.
