from the town of Perloz you have to follow signs for the hamlet of Marine and from here carry on until you come to the village of Crestaz. At the first hairpin bend take the mule track leading into the valley and head up as far as the village of Pessé. From this village take another mule track on the right that leads across steep, subsiding slopes as far as the village of Pra. Close to the fountain the mule track continues on the left as far as the Nantey valley. At the narrowest point, the mule track passes a river with a series of hairpin bends as far as the Pian houses. Leave the chalets on the left and carry on along the flat, coming over the ridge until you come to the Lers mountain pastures first and then to the ones of Le Bec. After ignoring several tracks on the right and going past a ruin, you come to the base of the peak. The path then turns sharply left until it reaches the crest and then continues towards the white cross standing on the peak of Crabun (2709 m), where just below this point, stands the bivouac.
