La Thuile lights up with the adrenaline of international mountain biking
The WHOOP UCI Mountain Bike World Series returns to the peaks of the Italian Alps with an unprecedented challenge: four disciplines in one destination.
Downhill, Enduro, Cross-country Olympic and Short Track come together in a unique event where every race, paddock and fan zone are just steps away from each other.
Imagine arriving in an alpine village surrounded by giants like Mont Blanc and the Rutor Glacier. The air is crisp, the sound of mountain streams accompanies your walk, and everything is within reach: grandstands, food court, beer garden, lifts. Park once and dive into the show, from morning until late at night.
Two fast lifts, Bosco Express and Chalet Express, take you straight to the tracks and to panoramic chalets where you can enjoy lunch while watching the champions race below.
The weekend is pure adrenaline:
- Downhill: feel the thrill of the “Shanghai” berms and the massive road gap, just meters from the riders.
- Enduro: takes you above 2,500 meters, through endless descents and wild landscapes, culminating in the magical Nightfall, the illuminated stage that turns the mountain into an arena of emotions.
- Cross-country Olympic and Short Track: new for 2026, ignite the heart of the event with breathtaking sprints in front of the grandstands, among rock gardens and iconic features like “The Meteorite” and “La Centrifuga.”
And when the races end? La Thuile invites you to discover its authentic side: the Rutor waterfalls, the turquoise Arpy Lake, ancient mines, or the Little St Bernard Pass with its alpine botanical garden — plus cozy mountain restaurants and trails for every level.
