La Thuile in the spotlight of international mountain biking

From July 3rd to 6th, 2025, La Thuile will host an unmissable double event for mountain biking enthusiasts: the UCI Mountain Bike World Cup for Downhill and Enduro. This competition will feature the world's top athletes, ready to take on the challenging tracks of the Aosta Valley.

The event marks the fifth stage of the UCI Downhill circuit and the sixth stage of the UCI Enduro circuit, reinforcing La Thuile's reputation as a hub for international mountain biking competitions.

La Thuile and the entire Aosta Valley are ready to offer a unique experience to athletes and spectators, celebrating sport and nature in a stunning alpine setting.

Downhill: pure speed and adrenaline
Downhill is a spectacular discipline where riders race against the clock on short, technically demanding tracks filled with jumps, drops, and rocky sections. Each rider has a single chance to compete, preceded by practice runs and a qualifying round to determine the starting order. The goal is to achieve the fastest time by fully harnessing the power of gravity.

Enduro: endurance and strategy
Enduro combines speed and strategy, with races consisting of 3–6 timed stages, primarily downhill. The transfers between stages are untimed and may include pedaling, pushing the bike, or using lift systems. Enduro demands a mix of technical skills, physical endurance, and mental focus, making it one of the most comprehensive disciplines in mountain biking.
