The festive atmosphere embraces Aosta’s historic centre.

Between late November and the beginning of January, the Marché Vert Noël turns one of the most magical spots in Aosta, the central Piazza Chanoux, into an enchanting alpine village.

Every day, you can wander among the stalls in search of unique gift ideas: local delicacies, wines, handicrafts, vintage items, Nordic inspirations… small and affordable luxuries to share the festive spirit together.

  • Gift ideas in a magical atmosphere
  • Discover local products and traditional crafts
  • In the heart of Aosta, visit the Roman monuments of Augusta Praetoria, the archaeological museum, the Cathedral, and the Church of Saint Orso, and take advantage of guided tours of the city.

The artisanal creations on display include wooden objects, antiques, fashion accessories, Christmas decorations, typical food and wine products from the Aosta Valley, sweets, and pastries.

You will also find works by local artisans, masters of woodcarving, who transform logs into heartwarming works of art that amaze young and old alike, along with craft demonstrations, projections and children’s activities.

Discover all the entertainment at the Christmas market on the event’s website.

Let yourself be enchanted by the magic of Christmas: admire the large tree decorated with over 7,000 lights and 400 sparkling ornaments, along with the charming illuminations and festive displays spread throughout the city centre.

  • At Lussu Park, near the train station, enjoy light shows and projections.
  • Video mapping on the façade of the building opposite Porta Prætoria.
  • At the Arch of Augustus, don’t miss the talking magic book telling an illustrated and animated Christmas story.
