Pila – Ski for All Abilities

The Gressan library is located in the historic tower of Sant'Anselmo. Inside there are spaces for setting up exhibitions, tables for study and reading. The second floor is entirely dedicated to books, there is also an area for younger children. The Gressan library offers free access to the internet through a wifi service, which can be used with your own laptop or tablet. The wifi service is active in all rooms of the library, including in the external courtyard. To access the service you must request authorization at the counter. Each user is assigned credentials for recognition (identification name and password).

Accessibility

As a result of the mapping carried out in 2023 as part of the "Lo sci per tutte le abilità" (Skiing for everyone) project, the following was found:

• Access to the property does not have significant differences in level.
• Toilets on the ground floor are accessible
• Three floors accessible by internal lift.
• On the second floor the counter has a portion at a height of 90 cm

Accessibility

As a result of the mapping carried out in 2023 as part of the "Lo sci per tutte le abilità" (Skiing for everyone) project, the following was found:

• The town hall is accessible, all floors are connected by lift.
• Toilets on the second floor are accessible

The playground is located in Località Taxel, behind the Town Hall. The area is always open and access is free. The park is not equipped with toilets and water.

Accessibility

As a result of the mapping carried out in 2023 as part of the "Lo sci per tutte le abilità" (Skiing for everyone) project, the following was found:

• Access to the playground is via the municipal road.
• There are no horizontal paths delimited inside the playground

The project began with a large old mountain pasture.
Everything possible was salvaged: from the old Planchì, a larch floor, to the old interior doors, from the stone of the walls to the windows, trying to merge it into the design of what would become the Hotel La Chance.
The guiding philosophy has always been to strive for modernity without losing sight of the origins and the strong link with the territory.
The entire relaxation room, the bar counter, the spa reception and the stone cladding of a portion of the building are original to the area.
Right from the design phase, a strong commitment to the planet, modern and responsible architecture was evident.

Accessibility :

As a result of the mapping carried out in 2023 as part of the "Lo sci per tutte le abilità" (skiing for everyone) project, the following was found:

• Entrance with hinged door without significant difference in height - wheelchair-accessible communal facilities
• Internal lift with planned features
• 2 accessible rooms with adequate sanitary facilities

The Evolution ski and snowboard school has 87 instructors, 10 of which for snowboard. Lessons are divided in private lessons or small groups of maximum 6 children.

The school has two sales offices, one located in the centre of the village and the other, at the arrival of the Aosta/Pila cableway.

The Pila Ski School is located at 1,800 metres above sea level and offers a unique experience in the heart of the Alps. The breathtaking view from Pila includes some of the highest peaks in Europe, including Mont Blanc, the Matterhorn, Monte Rosa, Grand Combin and Gran Paradiso.

The school is just few minutes from Aosta and is also easily accessible via the Aosta-Pila cable car.

The Pila Ski School was founded in the 1949/1950 season thanks to the idea of Piero Rosset and Mario Bechaz, the school's first director. The school's first location was in a room at the Lion Noir hotel.

In those years, the demand for instructors was not very high and the activity was limited to Sundays and public holidays.

The Pila Ski School offers a private ski school for learning to ski in complete safety, two ski and equipment hire shops and a sports shop.

The playground is located in Pila, near the tennis courts of TH Pila Hotel. The area is always open and access is free. The park is not equipped with toilets and water.

The playground is located in Località Pila, near the camper area of  Pila Spa . The area is always open and access is free. The park is not equipped with toilets and water.

• Access to the playground is via the municipal road
• Accessible entrance from the car park
• There are no horizontal delimiting paths within the playground area

The Tzarcard restaurant of the Hotel La Chance offers an elegant and refined setting. Typical cuisine of the Italian and of the local tradition revisited. All dishes are prepared with attention to every detail: from raw materials, to food processing, up to the presentation of the dishes.

Accessibility

As a result of the mapping carried out in 2023 as part of the "Lo sci per tutte le abilità" (Skiing for everyone) project, the following was found:

• No significant differences in level for the access to the property
• All floors of the building are connected by an internal lift
• Toilets for the common areas are accessible
• The outdoor area of ​​the restaurant is accessible.

On the ski slopes in front of the cableway arrival area of Aosta-Pila, "Yeti" is the ideal place for a break both in summer, with its swimming pool and solarium, and in winter during the ski season. The coffee bar and its self-service corner with sandwiches, "focaccia" and hot dishes: on the other side the restaurant, an ideal place to taste different dishes every day, from fresh homemade pasta to traditional polenta.
