Dry white, delicate wine revealing a herbal, mountain aroma
The Vallée d’Aoste Blanc de Morgex et de La Salle DOC is particularly attractive, since it is made from grapes harvested in the highest vineyards in Europe, at the foot of the impressive Mount Blanc. The Prié Blanc vines used for its production are still planted ‘ungrafted’, so there is no need for grafting.
The end result is a soft yellow colour with greenish hues, with an aroma of mountain herbs which burst onto the palate in a dry and delicate flavour, with fruity and pleasantly fresh notes. It is excellent as an aperitif and is just right when combined with delicate starters and mountain trout; it also works well alongside pizzas. Blanc de Morgex e de La Salle, with an alcohol content ranging from 10.5° to 12°, should be drank young and chilled (8°-10°).
