The Teodulo Mountain Hut stands at an altitude of 3.317 m., on the border between Italy and Switzerland, in the picturesque Pennine Alps pass between the Matterhorn and the peaks of Monte Rosa. This historic pass, known as Colle del Teodulo, links Breuil-Cervinia to Zermatt and has been in use since Roman times.

Built between 1920 and 1926 to a design by engineer Giacomo Dumontel Castellano, the refuge—once known as the Principe di Piemonte Refuge—is now a welcoming and modern facility. Renovation and extension works carried out between 2000 and 2010 created a spacious panoramic lounge with views of the Matterhorn.

Today, the refuge is a hub for skiers, hikers and high-altitude enthusiasts, offering a warm, family-friendly atmosphere with a bar and restaurant open all year round. The cuisine, authentic yet refined, is complemented by a selection of fine wines, to be enjoyed whilst admiring the Alpine landscape.

The lodge also features 9 recently refurbished rooms, ranging from double rooms to larger accommodation for up to 8 guests, all comfortable and well-heated to ensure a pleasant stay even in extreme weather conditions.
