Saturday 7 of June and Sunday the 8 of June 2023

  • 8.30 a.m. meeting with the guide in Perloz, and from there the participants will reach locality Pessé by their own car.
  • Starting from Pessé (1307 metres a.s.l.) the itinerary continues following a mule-track to the Colle Finestra (1671 metres a.s.l.)
  • This hike will off you the possibility to enjoy the view of rare wild peonies flowering in the pastures. This site is a real paradise for nature photography enthusiasts.
  • A well-deserved pause for lunch at the Colle Finestra (each participant should bring his own packed lunch)
  • During the afternoon visit to the monumental plants in Pessé and Prà and to the majestic beech-trees in Ruinaz;
  • Loop itinerary along a mule-track. Time of the hike:2 h ascent and 1h30 descent.
  • Hight difference 350 metres. Difficulty E (for hikers)
  • 4.30 p.m. delicious tasting is prepared at the restaurant Mansio 1695 in Perloz (the price per person is 15 €)
  • Reservation required at the Tourist Office in Pont-Saint-Martin within the 1st of June. You can reserve by phone at 0125.804843 or by sending an e-mail to vallecentrale@turismo.vda.it

The municipality of Perloz organizes a guided hike on the special occasion of the flowering of the “peonia officinalis”. Loop itinerary. In the first part of the hike you climb along mule tracks that cross the flowering pastures of the area. On the contrary, the itinerary followed for the descent, crosses a marvellous larch and fir forest. Once you have reached the top of the mountain, you can admire a spectacular flowering of rare Wild Peonies. This place is a real paradise for nature photography enthusiasts.

 

  • During the descent you can visit the imposing plants in the hamlets of Pessé and Prà and the majestic beech trees in Ruina
  • At the end of the hike there is the possibility of a delicious tasting based on local products prepared at the restaurant Mansio 1695, in Perloz.
