You will enjoy a breathtaking view of the Mont Blanc and Gran Paradiso. You will admire these two wonderful mountains with a little effort and with a little difference in altitude.
The loop itinerary starts from the hamlet of Gimillan (1788 metres above sea level), and offers you the possibility to admire two wonderful mountain chains that are higher than 4000 metres: the Gran Paradiso and the Mont Blanc. Along the way you will reach Plan de la Cretetta (2.003 metres above sea level), which is located at about two-thirds of the entire route, and is a real panoramic terrace offering splendid views of the highest peaks of the Cogne valley. From this point the descent begins to lead you exactly to the starting point: the hamlet of Gimillan

The massifs of Gran Paradiso (the only mountain – more than 400 metres high - which is entirely situated in the Italian territory) and Mont Blanc will amaze you not only for the harmonious succession of their peaks, but also for their sparkling glaciers. The loop itinerary starting from Plan de la Cretetta is one of the most beautiful itineraries to admire and enjoy this superb view of two mountain chains opening in front of your eyes.
