Star Party

Experience the magic of the Star Party in Saint-Barthélemy, the annual gathering of Italy’s astronomical community.

In the heart of the Saint-Barthélemy valley — one of the darkest and clearest skies in Northern Italy, certified as a Starlight Stellar Park and recognized by UNESCO — enthusiasts and curious visitors come together for a unique experience among stars, planets, and galaxies.

During the Star Party, public lighting in the mountain villages is turned off to ensure optimal observation conditions. With a waning moon and, hopefully, clear skies, the celestial show will be breathtaking to the naked eye, through telescopes, or captured in astrophotography.

The program includes:

• Open-sky observations
• Immersive shows at the Planetarium
• Popular science talks by Link2Universe and Chi Ha Paura Del Buio?
• Nighttime guided tours of the Astronomical Observatory
• An astronomy fair

On the morning of Sunday, September 21, the event will conclude with a traveling concert by the “La Lyretta” band of Nus, followed by the awards ceremony for the drawing and astrophotography competitions at the Lignan Planetarium. Free admission while seats last.

The event will take place even in case of bad weather.
